Getting it eCoated means it's dipped in a vat of primer so every nook & cranny will be covered, including all internal faces of hollow sections. Powder coating will only cover where the guy can get with the spray gun.

And from memory, you can't let ali or similar near the process. The acid will destroy anything non ferrous/stell i seem to recall.
The e-coat is only really applicable for a nice rebuild. On my race shall, it will come out primered, but thats it. So wherever we remove the primer for welding, so it will rust. But this can be controlled easily enough.

Hi Oliver,

Yes, happy things are starting to move along. Going to take a while though. Probably looking at a couple of years!! But as i'm in SA for a while, this isn't an issue. It will give me lots of time to really get her on the button, as justify the cost!!!
There's so much to do, it seems a tad overwhelming, but she'll get there. Knowing my luck, i'll stuff her at the first hill in one of my famous red mist moments.
