I think you have to have auto change down with a sequential gear change. I would feel like a right prat ticking down 6 gears when I approach traffic lights with the brakes on.

Keep in your mind how much is the maintenance prices, as I know in my country the maintenance prices for the Aston Martin much higher than Porsche plus the reliability of the car and the brand name goes for the turbo S , only one advantage for the Aston Martin that it has look that keep all the eyes on you similar to the Ferraris , McLarens and Lambos.

Also I've seen the Aston Martin as a Luxury Jaguar no more.

This is my own opinion on the subject.

rather contradictory statements.

What country are you in Grumpy, as in UK I would say Aston is a more prestigious name and has no negative connotations unlike Porsche (though Porsche is still a prestige brand)

True....Aston has no negative connotations......apart from golf club types, polo shirts and raspberry coloured chinos....hehe

well yes, from what I read on here generally people tend to like and admire Astons, let them out at junctures etc

whereas Porsche drivers tend to arrogantly assume their cars are better in every way (joke) wink
