This one I guess: http://www.lawtonbrook.co.uk/current-stock/for-sal...

I don't know the car personally but it looks clean enough and the price is about right.

Not a great spec car: missing chrono, stiched leather and possibly tyre pressure monitoring.

I personally would not have considered a RS without it. I know some people like it bare, but I really think the stiched leather dash/console makes it more special.

Enjoy the hunt smile great great cars

Well It may well be a goer....we are doing the numbers and should be able to come to some kind of conclusion by the middle of the week........

I'm not really worried about it not having Chrono as will not be looking to move it on quickly.....Hopefully a keeper as I missed out on a nice 996RS a few years back at a decent price and just look where they are going price wise !!!

I'm thinking along the lines of sticking it in the garage and giving it to my son when he's 21 along with a nice watch collection....beats leaving the money in the banks.... By the way my son is only 14 so I will get a few years of enjoyment out if it before handing it over.!

Will keep you all posted

You get the Sport button as standard on these - the Chrono option just gives you the wart and stop watch function.

I bought my 996 turbo from them last November, and found them very easy to deal with. So good I phoned them a week later and asked them to source me Focus ST3 too. Very pleased with both cars, and the service.

I'm sorry, this has to be the most ridiculous statement I think I've read on here. A GT3 RS for a 21yr old? Even if I could afford that, I wouldn't. It's like signing your sons death warrant.

Suppose, at least he'll be able to tell what time he crashed it in one of his new watches.

..... Or have I missed this completely and it's a joke?

Not so sure this is ridiculous, what age was Tom Hartleys boy when he passed his test in a Ferrari?... And last time I checked he is still walking the planet, and prospering.

Taking a broad view by the age of 21 he will have had up to 4yrs experience PLUS any additional driver instruction or kart experience... Having said that it's still sounds a bit OTT.

Fair play to the man.

Indeed, not all teenagers are idiots behind a wheel, a good percentage survive to old age! wink

If he has the proper instruction, practice and experience, age isn't a factor - it's the 40-50yr olds with no experience of really fast cars who 'treat themselves' or have a midlife crisis supercar you need to worry about!

+1 - I've heard some terrifying test drive tales from a few in the motor trade. Ever tried dropping the clutch on a wet roundabout in a 911 at speed? I've heard things get sideways very quickly... And this fellow was well into his 40s.

I was thinking he must have done something really really bad that needs making up for. I'd forgive him though if I was his son! Although I'd be livid that someone else has now bought this car.

Yes I agree there are some kids likely to kill them selves at 21 in an rs but having been on a couple on a couple of track days with the Porsche owners clubs there are also a lot of kids in there 40's and 50's that will attempt to kill themselves in an rs.m

I learnt to drive and passed my test in lhd e30 m3 evo, and was driving an f40 and testarossa the next day and i am still here not all 21 year olds are idiots. By 21 I was driving a cavalier but that's another story !!

Well I drove like an absolute tosser when I was 21 and to be honest I am lucky to still be here. An RS or a fast bike at that time in my life would have probably seen me off to the big racetrack in the sky.

Friend of mine was killed aged 23 because his old man let him have fast cars from the word go. He wrote at least 3 205 GTis off whilst still a schoolboy. Nobody knows what happened - lost control of a BMW 325 on a straight piece of road, very late at night. RIP Dave, but that was too much too soon.

Agreed, I have been driving a 911 turbo since I was 20, and Boxster S/Mr2 Turbo (300bhp) since 19....

Touchwood never had any incident, just use your head... ( if you have one in the first place....)

Age has got nothing to do with it...I'm 48 and drive like a complete tosser sometimes.

When I was in my 20s I had a TVR nas long as he's sensible then do it.
