993 engine problem !@#!???

an anybody help me?

Got an Air cooled 911 (993 '94 L) and it has developed a squeak around the main fan. It sounds like a dry bearing, but I'd like some advice before I take into the garage for repair. Anyone come across this before?

Could be your fan belt roller sensor.

Nah - the belts are fine. Wondered if it might be the alternator? Is this on bearings?

- I'll try the tensioner/oil soak trick tonite.
