chavs dont like porsche

driving 1989 3.2 back home,came across 3 lads,wandering across road.slowed down ,quite polite.doing nothing disreputable.all three dressed in tracksuits and trainers,with burberry caps and one with staffordshire bull terrier, all three gave w*nker hand signal. As far as i can see 2ndry to the fact I was driving a 911. felt compelled to roll the window down and explain that I was returning from a night shift during which I had been earning money to feed their families. anyone else experienced chav envy in a 911.
on the contrary, when I had the supercup exhausts on my 993, the local Nova-boys either stared open-jawed or gave the thumbs up.... probably because it made more noise than all of their bean-can exhausts put together 
Then again, not all the boy-racer crew are chavs - many are merely young petrolheads... but I'm not going to derail the thread again 
Anyway it's a good thing that the 'chav' population in general don't like or aspire to Porsches... otherwise they would be buying old, knackered ones, messing them up and giving them a bad name. I'd rather see an old 928 lovingly restored than Maxxed up and driven into the ground.

The day I see a perfectly respectable 911 3.2 or suchlike chavved up - is the day I creep along in the middle of the night to torch the thing in order to put it out of its misery.
Let the chavs think that £30k is better sunk into maxxing a Saxo rather than buy a 993 and spoil it.
