I want a 991 GT3 Clubsport
Discussion
Well having been let down by my local OPC for the RS (like many others) I've decided that I want a 991 GT3 Clubsport.
I'm seeing 2 this morning but thought I'd ask if there are any more out there other than those on here and in the Trader?
My ideal is Black with lift and that's about it apart from some nice to haves I'm not that worried and Lhd is an option - I'm happy to wrap the car so I'm looking at white ones today.
I'm off to Spa with RMA IN 2 weeks and would love to take one along.
Anyone know of something out there?

Hi hywelrsvr, I have a 991GT3RS that may fix this little problem you have. PM or call me if it sounds like something you are interest in.
(For some unknown reason whenever I send PM on Pistonheads they don't send, but receiving is ok).

Hi there
Sorry can't help on the 991, but we are also confirmed on the May RMA Spa trip. Hope you manage to find something in time. If you do come and say hi - we'll be in the garage with the 996.2 GT3, 997 Turbo and McLaren 570

Porsche Cardiff have 3 991 gt3 cars currently for sale. One red comfort and a white and black clubsport. Both club sports looked very nice, the red comfort is the cheapest advertised at the mo but done around 15k. From memory the red one was around 115k. Not to sure on the prices of the club sports.

Thanks GT4RS - yes seen those advertised in Cardiff and would go see the black one today if it wasn't so far, but here is the thing: 2014 cars rhd from OPC with 15k miles quoting £139k OR new 2015 no miles lhd for £10k less? And looking at your moniker here this is where I say or GT4 CS for less than £100k.....I would seek out a GT3 to test drive - they really are awesome and when driven well on track, not far off the pace of GT3s.
I'm a GT3 fan and have been for the last 7 years and absolutely love my 991 GT3 to bits - bought 2nd hand a year ago for big overs but never regretted it - got me down to a 7.49 BTG at the Ring
. However I am fortunate to have an RS coming and can't wait.
But I'll be honest and state that I wouldn't be disappointed if I had a GT4 if I couldn't have a GT3 or RS - they really are that good.

Hi Terry,
Thanks - well I drove a new 991RS yesterday and it was totally amazing!
Unless I drove the GT3 back to back with it I won't know the difference, but right now I'm hankering for that RS!!
Lucky you getting one, I'm just going to bite the bullet and pay the Premium I guess.......I have 2 available to me right away, a right and left hand drive and I'm wondering how much extra is a Rhd worth?

I guess it comes down to what you want to spend and how you would like to use it. If it's to be used properly with plenty of driving miles, I would look to find a good spec gt4 as the outlay would be far less. You never know they may have a gt4 for sale as well which you could drive back to back.
Do we actually know if Porsche have asked all opc to remove gt4 cars from sale if they have less than a certain amount of miles on them?
It would appear you are spoilt for choice on the amount of gt4 cars for sale with very low miles. It would appear a lot of people bought these to try and make a quick buck which is a real shame IMO.
Good luck with the search

Pop a quick wanted ad on s9s.co.uk
A few gt3 owners upgrading to a GT3RS, as well as couple of GT3RS owners selling up after tasting the sweet performance of 675LTs
A stunning RS just sold for several 10s of thousands below some suggested prices.
Thanks - I didn't know of that site before, I'll do that now.Pop a quick wanted ad on s9s.co.uk

Personally if I was in the market for a 991.1 GT3 I'd be waiting to see what effect the imminent release of the 991.2 model will have....not as if there's long to wait either: its due to be announced at Frankfurt in September by all accounts.
You won't see a 991.2 GT3 on a UK road this year (if they even release one) so if the OP or anyone else for that matter wants to use one as intended then why not just go for it. They are fantastic cars and you may get run over by a bus at Christmas, so just do it

I won't disagree there Terry, carpe diem and all that! Lord knows when you've missed out on sth, it's very hard to not be tempted to rush into sth else....we've all been there.
All I would say is if you've got even one lazy eye on the 'D' word, and don't, say, want to lose £10k in 12 mths after the gen2 comes out, it might be worth waiting...gen1's are still trading significantly over list, and I personally can't see them holding that in the short-medium term. If you're ok with that knowledge of what might happen, then indeed 'go for it' as they say!
