I used Surrey Trimmers which did a good job on fixing one of my seats which went out of shape. They can be reached on 01932 351251. They do the lot and fixed mine in a day.

Cheers

They have a good reputation, do phone before you leave...I wanted to buy some seats, phoned for details, suggested to them I would be down the next day to see and hopefully buy, didn't seem a problem...drove from Kent to Hampshire...the main man (Dave I beleive) was out for the day and the assistant couldn't really assist....bought seats elsewhere in the end. Shame as I would be happy to do business with them...

My car was completely re-trimmed by them in '97 and the trimming is still really good.

They are renound as THE Porsche re-trimmmers so they, above any other trimmer, would retain the credibility of your car.

Looks like they're located about 3 miles from my place. Do you know if they would do things like repair small nicks/scuffs in the leather upholstery?

Southbound are generally very highly regarded in Porsche circles. I have used the twice and they have done an excellent job.

You'll have to wait at least 3 months normally, though, as they are always booked up...

They did a great job on re-furbing my Recaro buckets. What are you looking to have done Alan?

New Tel no for Surrey Trimmers is 01932 858 758 -
I was enquiring about retro fitting heated seats to a Boxster. Approx £550 for the job.

Yes.

But they have such a good reputation that they are usually choc-a-bloc with work.

Bought full carpet set for 911 and fitted myself, was not cheap but pleased with the results.
Regarded as close to OEM standard in 911 world.

saw some of their work on a comprehensive interior re-fit and i thought it looked excellent - like a factory finish, only somehow classier. approachable people as well; on basis of what i saw, i'm going to get them to do some work.

Slow.... I had my 964 cab Roof replaced and the carpets replaced. I had the roof redone by them as I wasn't happy with the fit and to their credit they did it without fuss although it was slightly annoying that I had to point out the issue. The car was with them for ages (this was many years ago now). I also had them redo some of the carpets as I wasn't happy with the fit.

Roll on half a dozen years and I had some GT3 seats that I wanted retrimming in Classic Grey. I sent them the seats and samples of my unworn original seats for colour matching..... They GT3 seats came back a different colour (or shall we say shade). I wasn't thrilled and we settled it amicably.

QUality of work is eventually excellent. Speed is agonisingly slow. I'd still probably use them again but go in eyes wide open!

I use Wessex Car Trimmers in Southampton. As good, IMO, as Southbound but half the price
