Some of you will recall (with hilarity!) that I (slowly!) drove my 996 into a post in my haste to see the England Game

Anyway, nose damage was repaired today by Chipsaway West London.

Cracked plastic repaired and sprayed and you ABSOLUTELY CANNOT see where it was

I am ASTONISHED

Cost me £150, which is considerbaly cheaper than the quote of £2000 from OPC

Anyway, highly recommended by me. Ask for Lee.

...yep - they do a great job. You're lucky the damage to the bumper was only cosmetic!

I've had dings/scuffs on the 996 and the wife's Golf sorted by Chipsaway too [London, Harrow area - Kirit 07971 682220]. Excellent job.

A friend had a repair done by one of those companies and it was perfect for about 6 weeks and then it appeared to 'sink' a little and needed some extra work. Just keep a close eye on it!

I will.

They told me to leave it for at least three days to harden off.

...you mean enough time for them to do a runner before the pain runs off when you next wash the car!

Three days is the absolute bare minimum, I'd not polish it with anything for a couple of weeks at least.
It's been three years since I quit my ChipsAway franchise so the materials have changed/been updated.
If your repair was laquered using a product called PC52, it's not that durable................... if the product used was Mirra Clear it's a two pack product that is considerably more so.
