Bedford Autodrome yesterday (02/12/06) Anyone one else go?
Discussion
Yesterday I had one of the most entertaining track days of my admitedly limited track day experience. I can thoroughly recomend the Bedford Autodrome facility, especialy the GT circuit, it may appear a bit flat and featureless but it has lots of challenging bends and complexs and loads of room in which to get it wrong too!
Anyway I couldn't help but notice there were an awfull lot of Stutgart cars in attendance, everything from race prepped 924s and older 944s to modern GT3 911's . Were any of you lot there? If so in what?
Any way this is my old steed in action, the poor thing just lapse up the abuse!

He he, that Ashtray was surprisingly quick for an alleged 1.3, especialy when accelerating down the straights!
Glad you enjoyed your self, no point worrying about being overtaken by what should in theory be a slower car when you have no idea how skilled the other driver is or what might
be found under the bonnet!

Yeah I was there in a 944 Turbo. I had a very good day and it was great the weather remained dry.
However, I thought that the track etiquette was abysmal: people trying to outbrake each other, not adhering to blue flags, etc. This was partly due to the marshalling/enforcement of discipline, which was not up to Bedford's usual standards, as well as some genuine idiots who were on the track.
How else can the coming together be explained of the Subaru and Evo? I haven't seen anything like that on a trackday in ages.

I was there on Friday for Palmersport day. Absolutely awesome.

Hi Mac and welcome to the Porsche forum!
I have to admit I had a very similar looking silver clio come past me at one point
I have to agree with The Turbs on the discipline aspect, most people were fine but I did see a few incidents of odd behaviour and in one instance it looked as if three cars were piling into the same hairpin together, not clever!
I will probably have another crack at Bedford again sometime next year, especialy if I can get it for £99 again, thank you easy track!
