I have just spent £10,000 on a depoist asking for a white car, came home, read the books, and it seems
that RS is not available in white - OPC has not confirmed this to date, please can anyone confirm that that Rs is available in white ...Cheers

Yes it is. Only special order colour allowed, few grand extra i believe. Comes without the decals & silver wheels only.

Yup. That's what I've heard, too. It's the road I'd take, tbh. That whole orange/green thing is a bit ott for me - a 2006 car trying to ape a '70s one. They should have come up with something new IMO.

You shouldn't have to, you shouldn't also have to pay for things like climate control, sat nav etc, especially on a 100k car. Its been said hundreds of times on here but Porsche aren't the most profitable car company in the world for nothing.

I remember the day when they were not..... i have had 911's for 20 years and because of the company direction went with another marque (still retaining a 993 turbo 4) ..RS order came as a result of a OPC cancellation...What about importing a car in white, would it be a no cost option in europe

Try phoning porsche H.Q. in Reading and ask them if its possible you may get a more helpful response from them.

I'm sure that when you get it in whatever colour after a drive you will soon forget about the price colour etc, well until you trade it in anyway!
Best of luck Simon

DAMN RIGHT TOO!!!!

Why is it available in white but only WITHOUT the stripes and painted wheels. This is F**KING RIDICULOUS.
Firstly, I have pay an extra couple of grand for a colour which costs nothing extra across the rest of the 911 range (OK, I'll pay for the sake of exclusivity) and then I have to get the wheels painted myself and get red stripes made up...

Porsche's customer service is really really starting to take the piss.... I don't know a SINGLE company that gives soo much attitude at the very point of sale/warranty/service. You don't get these kind of histrionics even with Ferrari.

Let us know how it goes Yetie.

you're so right... i'll let you know after my phone call's tomorrow ...Porsche have really sold white with regards the GT3.. it almost seems delibrate to charge extra on the RS.. but having to make the stripes on a 100k car is just plain crazy

I'd use the black stickers (already available for orange + green cars) and make the wheels black personally. Strikes me as a mistake to ape the 996 RS so closely. Still a pisstake that you'll be in for an extra 4.5k or something to go this way.

I checked and the GT3RS is not available here at all yet (Aus). It is on the website and will be silver, black, dayglo orange or vomit green. No white option. Weapon, though.

Ditto on the colours. As for the pisstake, you know how the song goes....

P - Pull your trousers down
O! - What you gonna do?
R - Ream you a new one, buddy
S - Sign the contract here
C? - That didn't hurt now, did it?
H - Hell; my arse still hurts, though
E - Excellent. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

id like to think there would be some dialog to get what i wanted without it costing too much....
but the presnt day story with porsche is pounds, shillings and pence, reflected in the lack of knowledge, some of their salesmen have with the product in which they are selling.
