Hi Guys
Russ (rjl) has asked me to post some pics up of his new baby.
Full Zymol Royale Treatment done on Tuesday, went over to the dealers this afternoon to give it a quick wipe over with Zymol Field Glaze and make sure it was perfect for him when he took her home

Around 6 - 12 months depending on how often it is used, conditions, track days, garage, how often it's washed etc.
Most customers have a top up every 3 - 6 months to build the layers up. I always offer a nice discount to my regulars
I thinks Russ might find me around his every weekend

how much difference does a detail treatment make to a brand new car?
Quite alot of difference actually..most new cars have been left standing in compounds for months getting covered in shite, certainly plenty of them at the back of my local OPc at the moment.(obviously not the case with long waiting list cars!) sleep envy said:

A massive difference, car looks so much fresher and shiny and the most important factor for me after having previous Porsche detailed by Simon is the lasting effect, its stunning after a simple wash and 5 minutes with field glaze.
Also note car was factory collected and has covered 800 miles in the wet mucky conditions.
I took a while to be converted to Zymol and detailing but would not hesitate in recommending Simon and his products.

Quite alot of difference actually..most new cars have been left standing in compounds for months getting covered in shite, certainly plenty of them at the back of my local OPc at the moment.(obviously not the case with long waiting list cars!) As kayc said it is very important for any new car. Having worked at a few top dealers I know the chemicals that they use on the cars and have seen their techniques (free swirl marks, holograms etc), got to admit I would not even let them loose on the underside of my van never mind the paintwork.
What you have got to remember is time is money, the strongest chemical is the quickest (but not the safest).
Unfortunately it is not all their fault as they don't have the time, space, money etc to do what I do to a car. But it's still not nice to see a £20,000 - £1,000,000 car treated like this especially when it is someone’s pride and joy.
When one of my customers orders a new car I ask them to tell the garage not to wash it or prep it and the same when it goes in for a service.
For brand new cars the treatments offer
10 - 20% better finish on a brand new car (second hand car 10 - 90%)
Protection from day 1
The right products and techniques from day 1
Also makes washing easier and quicker
And lasts much longer than what the dealer will chuck on the car.
And many times I have seen dealers leave white polish all in the cracks rubbers etc on cars ready to go out. Even mud on the bottom of a £120,000 car waiting to go out.
Sorry to go on
Any questions just give me a shout. Anyone doing their car with Zymol that would like some advice with the products, please just call me, always happy to help.
Regards
Simon

I have to say OPC Solihull did a very good job on prepping my car. I think it arrived on the Wednesday and I collected on the Saturday so it may be that they didn't actually have the need to do much prep as it probably went off the truck into the workshop into the showroom but either way it was perfect with zero swirls or blemishes.
I'm one of those sad people who (assuming it's moderately nice out) enjoys spending time outside doing the car and if it had needed claying or machine polishing I have decent equipment and would have done so, but it didn't so I simply used some Carlack paint cleaner and gave it a coat of good wax.
