Sounds like fun.

Be careful with the cherry bomb though. A lot of track days these days have silly noise rega (98dB seems pretty common these days), so you might end up in trouble.

I know exactly what you mean, I am going for the one with the adjustable baffles etc so you can tune it down if required, but will probably still wind up screwing bits of coke can to it on arrival at the track

The coke can thing is ok, but it increases back pressure, and can have a detrimental effect on power (it also looks a bit pooh in the pictures). I've tried just about everything over the years, and foind that a pair of Supertraps were about the best thing for my Cerbera. You can get them from Demon Tweeks, and they're dead easy to fit and remove. They also have the advantage that you can adjust the amount of silencing they give you by adding or removing discs.

The best way to do it is to keep the old back box. If you're going to a silenced day, just swap them over the night before. If you're going to a noisy day, leave the Bomb on.

not a bad idea James, although I am told that you can get them within the 98db using the cherry (although this is yet to be seen)

I love your list Dontlift, could I cut and paste it into my 'Dear Santa' letter?

Will this cherry bomb provide any performance increase, as I admit that I am mystified why you would want to make a trackday only car borderline on the noise. 944's never have any problem with noise so why would you want to complicate things?

The cherry bomb will improve the flow of the exhaust, might be 1 bhp init, but hey i want every horse in the stable at my disposal, and they do sound fantastic
