Bloody Spyder Addiction!
Discussion
Ok, I can't quite believe I've gone and done it but I just placed a deposit on another Spyder!
Sold my last superlative example 3 weeks ago with no intention of buying another quite yet but my eye was caught by another quite interesting example. I'll pick it up on Monday
I was kind of jealous at not being able to pop my details into the Spyder register so I suppose I had to do it. And the spec, whilst being a departure from my previous car, is very appealing in other ways.
Can't believe I'm so excited at the thought of another one so quickly!

Have to say I hadn't been looking at Spyders but I saw the spec in the classifieds and it appealed a lot. Shame it doesn't have PCCB but it is the faster PDK example with paddle shift and sport chrono plus
That's obviously not why I bought it though. The basics (except for the arguable manual / PDK thing) are correct - Spyder wheels, carbon buckets, PSE. The reason I wanted it though was simply Aqua Blue and Full Leather
The rest of the spec is here:

I've worked out that the reason the PDK examples are quicker is that they carry more momentum into a corner. Zyp's car must fly!
edit...by way of a bonus, after putting a deposit on the car, I was told who the original owner was - very cool! I'll tell you next week

I'll go take a look. I've only seen some pics via google of the actual car and they're not amazing quality.

Why the wait to pass info. The car is as good as yours no?
Welcome back to spyder ownership though. The pics I've seen of aqua do look nice and it is not a widely specced colour.
I have to say, I do regret a little bit not looking into PTS!
I should have just shut up about the car until I'd actually got it home tomorrow. Sounds awesome and described as virtually new but you never really know until you see it - I was actually about to leave the house to meet a mate for lunch when I saw it in the classifieds. Sent a quick email to 911V before leaving. Could hardly concentrate on the 20 minute drive and rang them from the very noisy line to be served in Starbucks! 5 minutes later I left a deposit. All very rushed Assuming condition is as stated then I'll be a happy man! Welcome back to spyder ownership though. The pics I've seen of aqua do look nice and it is not a widely specced colour.

PTS for me would have been Riviera, no question.
Ok, onto the original owner and specifier - it's Keith Flint's car (The Fire Starter!)

Hope the celebrity owner wasn't one of those Top Gear clowns
Good luck with your new future collectors piece
Ha ha, if it was The Hamsters car I'd be keeping well quiet about it!! No, it was that guy from The Prodigy.Good luck with your new future collectors piece
And no Zyp, Dale is a good friend of mine but he's not a small chap and can't fit in the carbon buckets. He was considering sport seats but thank god I talked him down - he did like the idea of them heating his bottom though.

Out of interest, why is that a bonus? Because you are a fan, or is he a car nut?
Have full leather in my CR; is a rare option and looks simply stunning.
I'm not a fan club member or anything but The Prodigy are a great band. KF is also a quite well known bike and car guy. He's apparently just bought a 911 Sport Classic which is why the Spyder is leaving. Have full leather in my CR; is a rare option and looks simply stunning.
Juat quite an interesting extra I think.
