Just sniffing round the classifieds and spotted Johns 930 for sale.
Saw it at Maltons a few years ago and enquired but no one got back to me and it vanished.
Now here http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...
Seems like a bargain if your into a classic 911 with GT2 performance!

Sorry guys, been out the loop for a few days.

Had a few solid enquiries, but all were ulitimately talking of what it would yeild in 12 months.
These cars ( as we know) are not about enthusiasts anymore, but investors.

Had a guy drive down today from Supercar rooms wet his pants when he saw the car today.
Took him out for a spin, and quick squirt up the A12 made him fill them!
Said the deal was as good as done, but as one of my colleagues said, it doesnt mean a wk till its in the bank.
We will see.
Re JBL's car, someone will get themself a bargain.
Car cannot have done much since Richard Chamberlin rebuilt the engine at great expence!

I saw it in the auction held at Hedinham, but did not hang around long enough to find out if it sold.
There were a couple of 'gentlemen' sniffing round it when I was there.
When I told them I knew the car and what a labour of love it had been for the previous owner, and the money spent along with the performace gains, they just shrugged and walked away muttering half the value had been just been wiped with my info.
Usual money men just interested in a pedigree car for investment, not actually the car.
Where is it at now?

It is a liability I guess, and will be hard to sell.. It's not as if I'd need the power, standard 930 is quick enough.

I also understand it sold at the Coys Porsche Auction a few months back for £30something K
Did it actually sell at £30k?
FFS, i would have bought it for that just to tuck away for the odd track day!!
I thought Richard wrapped up all issues with the last build, so engine must be relatively fresh as it was only a few months after completion that Jon sadly passed away.
Very sad to see this car passed around for no money!
