I'm wondering how much winter driving it actually did; the winters up there are savage and they don't faff about with grit trucks like we do, but rather just driver tipper lorries down the highway raising the tipper body and steadily dumping grit as they go.

Hard to say but they surely couldn't have garaged it for six months a year and still managed to rack up that sort of mileage.
