Oil sensor/indicator fault alert on 996.
Discussion
Got a bit of a surprise today, my oil pressure gauge dropped to zero and I got an alert up on the diagnostics saying something like sensor or indicator fault. Seems to have cleared now and hasn't recurred. Anyone had this before? Worth a trip to my OPC to ask them to check it out? My car under extended warranty and haven't had anything to claim yet!!!!
Also as an aside, are there any issues with going to a different OPC for warranty work or do you have to go through the one who did the pre-check? My check was done through the Edinburgh OPC because the indie I bought from down there did me a deal through them but my local OPC is Aberdeen and I'd prefer to use them for servicing/warranty issues.
Ps. playing with posting photos also......

Cheers for the replies. Best phone up the OPC tomorrow I s'pose.
Mike - I thought that the sender was the most likely culprit, but now you mention the loose connection and given how transient the fault was I guess that is also a possibility, either way when you pay through the nose for extended warranty....in she goes!
