Blown engine on a Porsche 996

David Phillips an independant Porsche specialist in Edinburgh has diagnosed a cracked block on my 2000(W)Porsche 911 996. He has been extremely helpful and I recommend him. I have been looking at a couple of repair options, ENGEAR in essex have quoted £4k to fit a reconditioned engine and they give a 2 year full engine warranty. Their web site is only one page, has anyone used them before?

Thanks for this, I also think Porsche would show me the door. The bit a like about the Engear quote is the two year warranty.
