Rear Window Clip - Proposed Re-engineer & Manufacture

Update from Clevor Trevor:
"Simon
I thought that it was time to give you an update on this one.
The original manufacture we went to proved to be too expensive for us to be able to offer the clips to owners at a reasonable price so we had to search elsewhere.
We have now found the right person who will make the clips at a sensible price but is also going to produce them to a standard that we are happy with.
The machining of the first batch is being undertaken at the moment and we should soon have them returned for finishing. Once we have the first set completed we will let you have some pictures as I am sure people will want to see what they look like. At that stage we will also be able to confirm the actual price.
Regards
Graham"
I'll post pics and details as soon as I have them.
Excellent news, I also have a source for a CNC machine, if we can get some designe maed in "G-code" then we could use that.."Simon

To be honest I'm losing interest in the Clever Trevor route, it's taking too long. Anyone else have the wherewithall?
What, specifically, are we saying is wrong with the originals? On one of mine the chrome ring has gone missing so I need to use a screwdriver (no big deal) and it needs a firmer push than the other but that's it.
How else do they fail? How hard would it be to get them made up if it's just a case of reverse engineering?

Guys,
I sent two samples down to Tuscan al monday last week, basicly report back was good, unfortunatly i was working from a worn out sample and as a result the angle was wrong to suit the glass.
Im hoping to meet up soon with Alex to correctly measure angle, once done should hopefully have some good news.

I have an update from Clevor Trevor.
They have placed an order sufficient to cover the initial demand and production commenced a month ago with one half of each unit being made. The person concerned with production has been hospitalised and they are currently trying to find a way of getting the other parts machined so that we can complete the job and get the units on sale.
Based on this info could people please bare with them!
I have requested pics and Costing. I'll pass on as and when.

AT LAST !!!!!!!!!!!
At long last I have a pair of working window clips!!! No more leaks! I have the first pair, which are made from polished aluminium and I have been asked to try them out. I had to alter the screw holes slightly in the bodywork, and I opted to swap the "TVR factory" self tappers for the machine bolts and nuts provided with the kit. A very solid job and they look great.
Please find my car with a Raceproved Tuscan Window clip fitted !
These will be on sale before Christmas and details will be on the Raceproved Website Soon
