Crashed my Tuscan last Monday.
Freshly wet greasey road and bang.
Rear end stepped out and ended up hitting a hedge / tree, spinning round and smashing the rear end as well.
Not hurt and no one else involved so I was lucky but it doesnt feel like it.
Taken a few days to smile but reality is here. Insurance guy is inspecting her tomorrow.
Dont think that there is any chassis damage but the quote is close to the write off zone.

Likewise, I'm glad you are ok. Given how much mine cost to repair with less damage I would think, given where values are, that will be a write off?

Maybe an option to buy back for the rebuilt engine and pick up an otherwise good car with broken motor?

Thanks all.
Must say I felt very safe in the impact.
The engine was rebuilt by Str8Six and has been running fantastic. Had the throttle bodies overhauled with roller bearings as well which made a huge difference.
I'll have to wait and see what is said tomorrow.
I recon I spent 20k on her in the last 2 years. Ouch.

You may be able to buy it back and get it fixed yourself if the chassis is still good. I did it years back when somebody ran into my car.

That is bad mate but at least you're not hurt.

Tuscan numbers are going down by the week (at least feels that way) at the moment. Given that and the obvious amount you've spent on it I hope you manage to get it back on the road.

Keep us posted.

Good Luck with the Insurance Company, and sorry to hear about the car, but as everyone has already said, It's good that your unhurt........... Cars can always be replaced or repaired. Just a pain knowing how much work & money we put into them and then this happens.

Hi Mark, Yes, fingers crossed. Hope your chassis is OK.
Its a lousy gut churning feeling when you get out and see the damage.
Took me 2 days before I could muster a smile.
My wife pointed out that I wanted a respray anyway !?!?! Ha Ha Ha.
And I'd just decided on Rolex Blue. Bugger.

Arse! Reflex purple is the best colour if it's decided it can be fixed though.

Sorry to hear you terrible news Tony but as has been said at least you're OK. As hard as it seems to believe right now cars can be replaced and you'll move on. I speak from experience and my latest Tuscan is much better than my first one!

Peter, sorry to hear your news. Did you buy yours from James Agger in August/Sept last year? If so I very nearly bought this car. Fantastic car but just too purple for me in the sunlight. Hope you can get it sorted

Yep Tripleblack. That sounds about right.
I had a new battery, new Anderson connector and cables and a Battery Brain fitted in January.
Sods law as they say. I expect you excersised a few choice Dutch phrases. Probably sounded just like my English ones.
Sorry about yours and I know exactly how your feeling right now.

The Insurance man said he would call me back on Wednesday but still waiting.
Good luck.
