Tuscan Mk 2

Tuscan given a face lift and new drop top model revealed

TVR have arrived at the British Motor Show with a facelifted Tuscan Speed 6. The new model features revised lights front and rear and changes to the interior but more significantly there's a new convertible Tuscan.

The drop top uses a roof system familiar to TVR owners with a hard panel that stows in the boot and a soft back section that folds down. Unlike previous models, the rear section has no cantilever but when erected secures via some hefty bolts to the new roll bars. The hard top panel is stowed in the cavernous boot. The boot is longer than those of the hard topped Tuscan as the whole rear bulkhead has been moved forward.

The non-drop-top Tuscans have also received a facelift. Faired in headlights feature on the base model with the Tuscan S benefiting from both headlights and spotlights being faired in. A slightly larger front spoiler is used along with a more blended, but bigger and swoopier rear spoiler on the S.

I don't know what the Tuscan purists think but as a Griff owner I think that the drop top looks fantastic. Be good to see a side view to be sure but overall I think it works brilliantly. Bringing the rear bulkhead forward looks like it has really helped.

Completely fantastically wonderful.

The most beautiful car TVR have released in recent times. I predict an overflowing order book.

Indeed, my first thought was that this is the Griff all over again.

Good work TVR! Long may you have the balls to produce cars like these.

Still gobsmacked, truly lovely.

Great looking car, not sure about the double hoops though.

Ted, any chance of a close up of the dash, looks like a large control knob in the centre!

I am most impressed with them!

Now if TVR can fair in lights and covers these days, why don't they go back to their original rear light design for the T440R?

I like the interior of the Tuscan too! A lot like the Typhon now.

PS. I wonder if TVR will offer a sequential option and 19" wheels? Oh and Nitrons

Oh bum, now I will have to sell my children into white slavery after all..... it looks fantastic and really pleased how they came out. Saw them at the factory a week ago - but look better finished and the black light panels at the back are great.

Really impressed and NEED one now...

Anybody else worried about the spoiler on the S?

Can anybody who's seen it in the flesh put me at ease?

Hey, what happened to my post?

Anyway, any pics with the roof up?

Don't like the Tuscan S spoiler.
