I bought what i thought to be the bosch equivalent upgraded version (albeit a generic brand) from my local motor factors for £90, and it appears to be genuine bosch - both starter and solenoid are branded bosch. Good result as far i can tell!
I fitted it in two evenings, and apart from what i think maybe a short i have cuased not being careful enough when putting it all back together, it was fairly straighforward.
What problems do you have with the current one?

So what is the part number please? Sorry i meant to include a link to the other thread and now on my mobile so cant. If u google tuscan starting problems and the part no is 0001110041 bosch. I fitted mind two days ago and it fitted well with the few tweaks that u will find on the other threads.have yet to see whether its better with regard to hot starts. . .
