Following the recent run of wonderful weather and a little more time than usual out in the Tuscan I would like to apologise to the following people.........

1) The owner of the silver Ferrari sitting with his partner in the pub car park enjoying watching the interest his car was getting from the other customers, until......we pulled in at the other end and parked up. His car never got another glance, I'm sorry we ruined your day !

2) The teachers in charge of the foreign students who were trying to get them back on the bus when we pulled up at the traffic lights and they ignored all instructions whilst crowding round the car to take pictures on their mobiles ! Sorry for the disruption caused.

3) The owner of the white van who stopped on the opposite side of the road at traffic lights and nearly gave himself a hernia reaching out of his window and yelling ' Rev the car, please rev the car '! His wife looked most embarrassed and I apologise for enthusiastically responding to his request.

4) The young male student in a large group with his girlfriend who as we drove past them in a town centre suddenly and uncontrollably jumped 2 ft in the air shouting 'TVR Tuscan, coolest car in the world ' ! I apologise for instigating this behaviour and hope your friends forgave you !

5) The elderly couple who on a sunny but cloudy day were standing by the car at a sea-front car park arguing 'Its blue........no its purple.......no its blue again' ! Sorry to cause conflict !

6) The inhabitants of that gorgeous little walled village the road through which is a glorious 1-2 mile downhill stretch........sorry if we disturbed your afternoon siesta with the gurgling and popping on the over-run, magnified by the walls. I apologise.

7) The owner of the Jag coupe parked next to us who loudly informed his partner that 'it might look nice but nothing beats roof-of driving in this weather'. Sorry to cause you so much embarrassment as we popped the roof and screen in the boot before we set of !

8) The old lady driving a Ford Fiesta who as we pulled alongside at the traffic lights nearly crashed into the car in front as she set of because she was so busy mouthing 'Lovely car, lovely car' to us ! We apologise for being so distracting.

9) Finally the owners of the 3 Audi TT's whose alarms we set of in three different car parks when starting up ! We apologise but in our defence the TT alarm does seem to be susceptible to this !

Apologies as well to anyone else we have forgotten ! I LOVE MY CAR !!!

I think 'The Nine Apologies' should be used in response to anyone who's considering a purchase and isn't sure if it's the right thing to do.

How could you NOT buy one after reading that?! Top report!!

Good choice !
Embarrassed to say I'm not sure what colour mine is !!!! It was the Dealer demo and I just loved it ! Got all the codes though so I'm tracking down the official colour via TVR and will let you know .

Thanks for reminding me why I have a Tuscan. As I am using it as my Descates, I forget what a reaction it causes. Sounds like a dream day (or two).

Apologies to Chim which is the normal Descartes but is unwell at this weekend

Had one of the same embarrasing moments last night embarking onto the ferry, a crowd full of merryment spotted us and were screaming "look a Tuscan" TVR's RULE, we had to keep waving as long as they were screaming, everybody on the French dockside was watching us, embarrasing yes, proud YOU BETCHA.

Best Regards,

James Sim.

Excellent post! Would that be a Rolex Blue Tuscan perchance? If so, a most excellent colour choice!!

Roll on the good weather and the envious comments we receive when out and about in our P&J!

I sold mine about a year ago and after reading this i might have to go and get another.

This is the sort of email that should be sent to the likes of Jeremy Clarkson who cannot understand why anyone would drive anything thats not boring German or costs over £100K.

Isn't it wonderful to see this sort of post instead of the other "moaning" ones?

I owned and loved my Chimaera for 2 years and had no problems in 6000 miles except a slightly dodgy connection on a Lambda probe, quickly found and fixed at MOT time. Have had my Tuscan for 6 months and 2500 miles with 2 small problems, both fixed quickly and efficiently by my TVR dealer (total less than £50).

Both cars have been on their hols through France (1200 miles), performed superbly in temperatures of up to 40 degrees C, stopped the traffic wherever they went and generally had my wife and I grinning like Cheshire cats.

Am I lucky or do we maybe make some of our own luck?
The cars came from good homes after much research, were serviced properly by TVR specialists, they were regularly used and probably most important, didn't have the a#se ripped off them until ALL conditions were right, including operating temperatures.
