A 24K SERVICE AT GORNERS IN WIGAN IS AROUND £500 AND TAPPET ADJUSTMENT CAN ADD UP TO NEARLY ANOTHER £500.

Mine was about £750 + VAT including the tappet adjustment.

This is a competitive rate because i use a brilliant independant race team to do my work (TopCats at Aylesbury, Bucks).

If your car is out of warranty, then you wont get a better deal. Hell, i'd use them even if my car had a warranty. Which it doesn't.

Thanks guys, how far can you go over the 24k before going for the service.
My mileage is 24,100 but the last 6k service was done at 18,800. The Tuscan has been very good to me other than the usual, batteries, damper etc. I guess if I need to travel to get this done I could see a few more going on.
Apologies, although I love this car to bits Im not to hot on the engine side of things.

Well, you are nearly upto the 6,000 mile mark from the last service. And If you have not had the tappets adjusted since the 12,000 mile service, I would say that you would be definitely advised to get it done. You should at least feel the engine running well after a major service as well as checking out brakes etc and making sure that everything that should be lubricated, is.
