Hi guys looking for some info on all the dials and buttons on my dash. Had my Tuscan a week now, but it didn't come with any users manual. Is that something that should have been with the car ? I've sussed out most of the controls, but still a few i've no idea about. Looking for info on -

Controls for moving the side mirrors are obvious (select right or left, then four buttons for movement) but what's the other button for ?

Opening and closing windows are obvious, but what does pressing the window buttons do ? And the green led on my passenger side window control keeps flashing, what's that for ?

The temperature control is pretty obvious, but pushing it brings on a little blue led. I take it that's aircon ? Does the temperature gauge need to be turned right down for this to kick in ?

Lastly, how do you set the trip computer back to zero ? And set the time on there ?

Cheers for any help with these !

Little book that looks like a "Filofax" - doesn't tell you much more either!! Also houses pages for the service history recorded, so "Yes!" you should have got one!

The one on its own should heat the mirrors and "demist" them

It's annoying that, isn't it? I've no idea! But in two and a half years it hasn't prevented me from driving! hehe I believe it's supposed to flash when it's got a message to move the window, but then it flashes four times if the action has "stalled".

IIRC yes, put the fan on too.

Turn the knob (right hand side) a little bit

Press both the function button (big one on right) and rear fog (little one on left) together. Then you can adjust all sorts of things in the display. Scroll through by pushing the big function knob and rotate to make changes. Push the fog light switch again to finish.

This all comes with a proviso that your car wasn't made on the day when they changed everything!

Magic, cheers for that. That clears things up a little, and i'll try and chase up the book you mention.

Any idea about pressing the window control buttons, does it do anything ? Also, is there a way to shut the doors but keep the windows from closing ?

Pressing the window buttons in used to open the doors, but people's knees would knock them and open the door when you didn't want, so they moved the open door buttons next to the radio. Pushing them in on a more modern Tuscan (post 2001 ? or a car that had the mod done) does nothing.

Wind the windows down past half way point to stop them closing when you close the door. As far as I know, you can't keep them down when setting the alarm.

I can open the doors on mine by pressing the buttons on the pod or pushing the window controls.
The little blue light only shows the aircon's on if you have aircon. I've got the little blue light on mine but no aircon (car was cool enough with out it!). My little blue light just shows that the little blue light's on! When it gets really hot we look at it and it makes us feel cooler, but not much!

I have a spare owners manual from a friend who had a Tuscan S if that would be of any use? Not much use to me for my griff! The only thing it lacks is the filo-fax style cover.

Hey I managed to track down the manual for my car, the guy doing my transporting had left it lying in his landrover. It's in the post up to me, should be able to find out about those buttons and lights now.

Thanks for all the offers of scanned and posted manuals, much appreciated.
