Fuel Pump is silent !
Discussion
Out for a run and about 400 metres from the house bit of a stutter and now dead. The only driver who stopped to help a TVR driver !
So fuel pump is not priming and so far took out the relay and checked it , I think I got the right relay. The fuse number 30 , well that slot is empty ?? . I tried to clean up the terminals on the pump and with a multitester do not seem to be getting any power at the two terminals.
So to the help please.
What fuse number is it , Varley book says 30 but that slot is empty?
Is it the red/brown colour relay in the corner or another one ?
How do I test the power to pump, is it across the two terminals on the pump ?
Whats the little black unit next to the pump ?
Is there another thing I should check ?
Thanks in advance
David

Ok
Just put 12v across the pump , the two connectors with the nuts on and the wires running to them.
Neither way round poss or negative is there any action.
I take it this leads me to a full fuel pump failure as the explanation.
The pump should run with power across the terminals yes ?
Thanks

All works but.....
Not fuel tight. The junction on the high pressure side weeps..
Anyone have any experience of this and making it right ?
On the origonal set up there was no washer on the nut side of the banjo, what do you think.
I have now tried with and without one and got it fairly tight , still weeps
Thanks
