What colour respray ?
Discussion
Hi All,
For a long time now I've been mulling over having my Tuscan resprayed a different colour.
At the moment its in Bentley Sapphire Blue with Blue Covert lid and gray leather and dark grey carpet.
I'm planning on having the interior refreshed this year with new carpet and the drivers seat leather needs attention.
The roof covering is quite marked and weathered and so thats also in my sights.
If I go to another body colour then I can change the carpet and roof colours too.
I don't want to change all of the interior leathers so the gray is going to dictate the new body colour to some degree.
For staying with blue, I really like Lazer Blue.
If I change, I like Spectraflair Silver.
This last couple of weeks, Formula Red is in my mind.
One of the main issues is that the Sapphire Blue shows all of the swirly spider marks and drives me mad.
My previous Tuscan was in Paradise Purple and you could never see any marks on it.
Thats my target with this colour change. Will Formula Red work out OK ?
With Lazer Blue I dont think I have a problem with the interior colour but I would be grateful for opinions on the Red or Spectraflair Silver against the interior?
Thanks,
Tony

Thanks for the feedback, been on an off line boozy weekend
Actually, forgot to mention orange as a colour.
I think I will need to see Spectraflair Grey in the flesh to understand how good it is.
I think Spectra Silver is at the top as far as going with the interior and I need to get the roof redone anyway but think staying with blue would be better with this choice.
Maybe introducing some shade of blue carpet would also complement.
Cheers,
Tony.

OK so I went up to see Dave at Surface and Design today.
I've chosen Jaguar Ice Blue but with a percentage of Spectraflair.
Dave is sending me samples with 1, 2 and 3 % spectraflair.
Still other colours (red) in my mind but I'm now satisfied I've will be happy with my choice.
Also new carpets, roof canvas and screen and boot liner carpet ( spilt a litre of oil in the boot ) by D & C although I missed them today.
Photo's to follow some time in February.
Thanks all for your input.

Well I thought I had made my mind up.
I spotted this wonderful car a few weeks ago and just remembered 'that colour' that has been stuck in my head.
Now, all I have to do is head back to California, drive to Napa and hang around until this car reappears.
Then ask the owner what colour it is.
I guess this can be described as a long shot.

Hi Ryan,
Good to hear from you.
That colour looks fantastic but it really won't work with my interior.
How did you get on with your tappity engine ? That two years ago so I hope your in good shape now.
Last year we had a great run down and stayed at some great hotels.
My Tuscan was treated like a rock star and directed to exclusive parking spaces so making the hotel look cool
This year my daughter and friend came with us so I had to take my Merc.
I'm already planning next year with the Tuscan.
Cheers,
Tony

Oh, and another one to throw in the mix. Reading the page says it's Azzurro California, but I had a sample sprayed and it looked very different so I didn't take the risk. Almost wish I had now!
Some more of this colour here: http://www.autogespot.ca/index.php/en/ferrari-458-...

I've finally gone for this Azzurro with 5% Soectraflair.
Must admit to getting carried away or should I say my Wife.
She talked me into a fully interior
Before and after pics will follow in February.
Better get back to work to pay for it.
Thanks all.
Tony

Great choice!! Look forward to the pics!
Would be really interesting to see in the flesh once it's done. I'm sure the spectra flair will be much stronger than my one and that'll really set it off nicely!
Dare I ask....What colour interior?
Cant wait to be able to post the pics but don't expect her to be ready until mid February or even early March.Would be really interesting to see in the flesh once it's done. I'm sure the spectra flair will be much stronger than my one and that'll really set it off nicely!

The interior will be dark blue carpet and a mix of dark blue and Portland grey leather.
Cant remember the actual names of the blues
Ready for summer, cant wait

Changed my mind again
I decided that the Azzurro California won't go with the new interior and roof and so I'm now going for Spectraflair Aloy with 5%.
I think this is final
I really like the Azzurro California but every photo I've seen tells me there is a hint of green which just won't work.
