That is cheap, I guess some people need a quick sale. I reckon that was easily worth 15K.
It's a shame Tuscan owners are so plentiful, otherwise we could control the market like the Sagaris owners are and keeping the prices high and stable.
Surely now Tuscan prices should be firming up as the cars are no longer being made.
A cheap Tuscan to buy does not mean a cheap Tuscan to run and service. I guess some new owners will get bitten and pass the cars back on to the market quickly and cheaply.
Let the buyer beware.
Of course this is only an issue if you are selling, which I'm not! My car is eight years old next month, in damn good condition, and still pulling like a school boy!

Yeah but at that price even adding on a TVR Power engine rebuild into your costs makes it a damn good summer purchase. It's a shame Tuscan owners are so plentiful, otherwise we could control the market like the Sagaris owners are and keeping the prices high and stable.

At those prices I'm thinking of buying a MK1 to run around in this summer keeping the miles off my MK2 !!!
It will be interesting to see what this one goes for in London?

I did point out it was a 360HP straight six!
The geezer wants 14K but I don't think it will reach 13K.

Friend of mine bought a 2001 Tusc S with only 12000 on clock from oop north for 12K...
YES 12K..
He bought it over internet without even looking at it and had it trailored down.
Only had one small problem of loose alternator but got a friend to put that right..
He knew nothing about TVR's but loved the look of the Tusc.
What a gamble... says he's put 6/7K away for the inevitable.. fingers crossed..

Supply and demand should bring the market up in the long term, but it will take a while. The market also needs confidence that parts and servicing are readily available and that the S6 engine problems are sorted.....

If you can do that without compromising anything, don't need to run off the the dealer for the smallest inconvenience and ideally have the support of a good indie, I'd say you'd be unlucky to be bitten.

If he hasn't got a lot of experience with very powerful RWD cars that aren't on electronic leashes I would highly recommend something like a Ride/Drive course or similar, though...

I can probably add to this as I don't own one but would love one. I own a 2 litre turbo car, 200bhp standard, now at 350bhp, soon to be close to 400bhp as my standard daily drive, but two things concern me about the Tuscan.
1. A current engine rebuild for me, including top makes of forged pistons, conrods, ACL bearings, gasket set, oil/water pump, MHG, timings chains, all belts, ARP head & main cap stud kit, oil, coolant etc, INCLUDIGN labour comes to about 2.5k
I can't understand why the speed six prices I see quoted are 6 to 7k, even taking into account the extra cylinders.
2. I could budget and accept for one rebuild, but I'm nervous it may need another, and then that is really expensive.
These are fears nagging me at the moment, I may be totally wrong, but it does concern me, and maybe others, which reduces the demand for the cars.
I completely agree with Scottie - NW
I have been looking for a Tuscan for months, but the fear of repetitive and expensive engine builds is putting me off. I have asked the question before on this forum but can anyone confirm that with normal road use a properly rebuilt SP6 engine will last?
Can people please provide feedback as to how many miles they have covered on a rebuilt engine and or whether they have had to have the SP6 rebuilt a number of times?
The answer will determine whether I purchase a 12K car and keep 6K for an engine rebuild or 18K for a car with an engine rebuild 10,000 miles ago.
