Picked up the Reflex Green Tuscan that didn't meet reserve on ebay today. She looked gorgeous and so I took the plunge. Drove home from Northolt to Dereham with no problems, about 130 miles. Used about 25 litres of fuel (24.6mpg) and the engine ran very nicely at errrrmm "motorway speeds" (cough). Took it nice and easy as it rained after Baldock.

They are a little nervous aren't they and the steering lock is dreadful? Oh well she is keeping the Chimeara company on the driveway until bed time. Better read through the manual now.

Everything crossed, so wish me luck!

yes takes a bit of getting used to, especially at higher speeds, you'll find yourself sawing away at the steering wheel!

Upgraded shocks cure a great deal of this kind of behaviour.

yes again! very short (and sensitive) steering. great on super smooth tracks, not so hot on britains nackered roads! again it takes a bit of getting used to, and better shocks help out a lot with camber steer. doesnt help with trying to do a u turn though, I find the easiest way of doing a u turn it to just bury the gas pedal into the floor and let the rear tyres do all the work!winkP

I believe they made this a little more forgiving in the T2 ??

Good luck with your new purschase!

Hey mate,

Congratulations! Definitely the best colour! Not that I'm biased!

Yeah, they take a bit of getting used to but once the weather brightens up it'll be the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Good luck,
J

Thanks guys,

Given her a good exterior/interior clean and fed the leather and she is looking beautiful. Those black wheels really set her off. Me and the kids have been walking around her in the sunshine just to see the colours change hue. How sad is that?
