Off to France in the Tuscan.
Do I simply need to get the headlight patches as from the AA shop or do the headlights have a slider to change the direction of the beam?
Any help most gratefully received.

The stick on headlamp deflectors do not work on the Tuscan, I have never bothered with them. The lights can be adjusted for the continent as they are on LHD ones, this involves removing the main bonnet and the inner wing covers behind the lights slackening the two rear fixing screws rotating the light unit by 15 Deg and re-tightening the screws.

Bearing in mind how late it gets dark - how much night driving do you intend to do?

I'm just back from France and had no problems (but only drove once for 5 mins at night)

I'll examine the photo and decide.

TBH I wouldn't bother! I've lived in France for 6 years and most of my cars are still on English plates with RHD lights still in; in all that time I've never been flashed once. I've been stopped many times in the dark and never even been asked about my lights. A friend of mine is a motobike cop in Le Mans and he said there are no instructions to check UK drivers lights when they are stopped. He even asked me why I had beam deflectors on the lights when I first arrived here.

So if a French copper doesn't know what they are for, beggs the question why put them on.

I've travelled for the last 14 years through France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Switzerland on a monthly basis and only used deflecters and never been flashed.
Going to spain in July in my Tuscan and will use deflecters again.
I've used electrical tape before if I've been stuck.
Point the car towards the garage door, turn lights on and position the tape or deflecter to block the light beam profile which is going of to the left side.

We never bother when we go.
We hardly do any night time driving, so don't feel the need.
