Found this on autotrader. I've been looking around for the 'right' one for a while and enquired about this at Racing Green but they told me it had sold. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2009...Looks like it was the orginal press car Racing Green had for sale for a while at £30k. That had also done 6k miles. Surely they haven't given it a wash and polish and hope to add £10k to the asking price?

No that's not the Press Car, I think it's Ian Walkers... and it's immacculate... not quite as good as mine , but close to it ...  It's on the register at the top of the page...Vin number next to mine.

Kieth is right, it was Ian Walkers car and is utterly stunning. Worth every penny if you think of the low milage, perfect condition and the support you would get from HHC.

Ok, thats interesting. Might have to make a trip up next weekend and have a look.
Its a Tuscan Convertible or a 355. Have briefly driven a 355 but not a Tuscan. Obviously realise they will be different cars to drive. Think it just comes down to what floats my boat more on the day.

and to make your decision even easyer
ask your insurance company what the 355 will cost you annually and what the xtra security's are you'll have to give them (like no parking outside, no trackwork etc)

Well, when I spoke to Hagerty Insurance recently regarding this, if I change my Tamora for a 355 it will actually be £30 cheaper per year! I imagine a Tuscan would again be similar to what I'm paying at the moment.
In the Ferrari's favour is the fact that I don't think it will loose a great deal of value compared to a Tuscan Convertible. But then again, with so few Tuscan Convertible's built in the first place, will they also retain there value?

With a little due respect (it IS beautiful to look at), the 355 is still the "old generation" Ferraris, pre-Schumi, with the steering wheel positioned like a go-kart. If you really want to make the mistake to go Ferrari, try to go 360 at least : it's day and night compared with the 355.
But I'd rather suggest to go Convertible with HHC. That combination must probably be the best money can get in terms of automotive pleasure.

the 355 is the first "bulk built" ferrari
it's not a collectors item altough every ferrari holds it's value in some way.
the ferrari will cost you more than the tusc and will cost you more to maintain
had one and gladly got rid of it
it's not a riders car
it's a car for people who want something nice in the garage, to look at and to polish
i would buy the sagaris

I bought a 355 and lost a lot of money on it. It looks nice and sounds great but it is pretty feeble performance for the money and especially compared with the tuscan. Tuscans are genuinely exciting, too exciting for some! The S engine offers at least as much power as the ferrari but it feels like a lot more as the tuscan only has 1100kg to haul around. Best of luck with whatever you go for but I'd never swap my tuscan for a 355, nor the dog ugly 360.

to make it a bit easy'er
was riding behind a 360 convertable lately
i had my son in the car (100 kg's) and the ferrari driver didn't have extra weight
he tryed to pull away and i was on his tail within a sec
he pulled away a second and third time but every time it was easy for me to get back on his tail
without kidding ! i didnt even have full throttle all the way
he pulled over wanting to know what car was quicker than his dinky
he was ashtonished
to be franck ! i was too but then the F has only got 400 bhp with more kg's

Sadly it has to go, new hip beckons and Tony at Hexham Horseless can't do that. Tuscan is fabulous in all respects, go and try it you will not be disappointed. On the good side I now have a nice new DB9 Coupe but my heart is still with you TVR guy's.
