Do you think the Speed6 lacks torque compared to say the V8s? Is it a considerable difference?
My mates V8 Cerby does 'seem' faster, more raw (if that makes sense?)...

the sp6 cars are way down on midrange power compared to the ajp8. for example a couple of seasons ago we ran a track/race orientated sp6 engine in a race car. it made about 380hp (peak) installed. a race cerbera that i was also involved with in a small way made an installed peak of around 405hp .. 25hp difference at the top end.
however .. come down to around 5000rpm and the ajp8 was still making 360hp .. the sp6 was making 260hp ... 100hp LESS than the ajp8.
the sp6 cars are very very poor in the midrange compared to an ajp8.

i think de-catting and chipping can make a big difference but will never close that big gap rens

4.3, there is your answer  380 to 400 torques, depending on spec.

I am reliably informed that the early Tuscans had more Torque but less horse power than later cars?
In addition that early SP6s require a new chip to improve mid range fuelling?
I have been on a track with a Cerbera with a mildly tuned AJPV8 and it was much faster.

are you saying that the 4.2 / 4.5 AJP was / is much quicker than a Tusc, was it a S?. I believed all Tivs at this range / level were all about the same, straight line driving, and the driver was the main difference (unmodded obviously)

I don't know how tuned up the AJP V8 was, but it was a lot quicker on top end and acceleration. It was belching fire from the zorst at every gear change though? I don't remember the blokes name but he stated he had just purchased the vehicle.
My Tuscan is a non S but seems as fast as is the norm, there were other Tuscans and supercharged Chimaeras and we were keeping up with most things apart from the out and out racers.

I have a dyno dynamics .. well known for being a pessimistic (more realistic?) dyno. But it's a whole can of worms done to death on ph many times. If you want some light entertainment before bed though google dyno dynamics v dynojet v mustang v etc etc
