Tuscan Mk'3' - build sequence

My interest was given a prod by a recent thread relating to VIN numbers. I was wondering whereabouts in the final Tuscan build sequence my own Tuscan was built.

So looking to place my car in relation to the other Mk'3' Tuscans built with the later curved dash....

My Tuscan, which was built to order, has a build year of 06 and a build number of 51 with first registration in April '06 - it would be interesting know how many were built before and afterwards.

and has 3 full didgits in the chassis no
it was registerd in 2007, on a 56 plate.

i have an unregistred one not sure of the chassis build date, ill have a look next time i unveil it.

aparently there were only 26 mk3 tuscans built.not sure how many "s" models
may be we should have a register for them.

What do you mean you have an "unregistered" one ???? Have you bought a new one and mothballed it ???

I have a mk3 'S' registered on a 56 plate and I think was 55th car built in 06. I'll check at a later date.

My mk3 'S' was registered in April 2007. I'll check build details once I get it back from service.

MK3 Tuscan S first registered July 2006 was the 112th car built that year.

Must have been very close to the last Nick, I thought 134 was an odd VIN for a convertible when I saw it...I reckon towards the end there were big gaps with customer cars being given preference over dealer cars...From what I gather a VIN was allocated when an order was received..hence I think a lot of dealer car VIN numbers never got near production, and hence the gaps.

Mine was registered in nov 2006. I'll check when it was built.

I didn't know there were fewer than 30 mk '3's that's ridiculous.

My 2nd has the chassis dated late june 2007.
dose any one know when did TVR stop production? also
Dose any one know what is the number proceeding the chassis build date (located on the box section chassis below the chassis no rail) ie: B1888 12/07/06

They are hard to see i put my hand behind the rad hose to pull the wiring back and used a torch to see, or a getting a camera in be better.

That sounds odd, are you reading the number correctly? The factory closed in December 2006 and nothing new has been produced since by TVR.

Unless of course they were stamping chassis with forward dates but I don't think they did that?

Definatley stamped "B1*** 30/06/07 On the lower box section of the chassis.
the other is "B1*** 13/10/05 But not registerd untill early 2007 (mk3) over a year and 3 months later?
I thaught thet date was the chassis Build date? whats the other no that precedes it any ideas?

You tend to contradict yourself...earlier you said it wasn't registered...then you say Early 2007... or do you mean it's not CURRENTLY registered ????

Just checked mine 29-1-06 which makes sense...Sure you haven't got a "ringer" there????

Check your VIN plus engine no. on water pump..plus date on wiper motor all good clues.

IF you read the last posting again there are two sets of numbers from two different chassis, one set is on 2007 registred; date stamped 05
the other set of numbers are on a non registerd one date stamped 07
