k reg 220gti opinions please

hi need some help i have a chance of a k reg 220gti 127k on the clock overall in good condition its the t series engine aswell bin told there more reliable i would just like to know what there like as an everyday car ie mpg what bhp they are also whats the performance like aswell and is there anything that i should look at any advice would be appreciated thanks!!

thanks for that mg the car is in pretty good condition has slight bubble rust on the lip of the bonet and a tiny bit on the drivers back arch where it meets the sill every where else is solid whats the performance like on them ie what bhp are they plus what mods could i do to the engine to give it a bit more power its a moonstone colour also the engine is spotless the only thing i didnt like about the car was it was smoking on tickover the owner said it started doing it since he put some oil additive in the engine put apparently hes done an oil change and it doesnt smoke anymore i was thinking along the lines of valve stem seals

yeah it looks similar to the one in the pick but im not sure but i think the rocker cover looks bigger on the car i looked at might just be me though lol ill try and get some pics of the engine for u thanks for the info mate much appreciated!!

yeah it does mate the rocker cover looks nearly square like if u know what i mean its the early one without a grill it says injection on the inlet has a rectangle shape airbox witch points down towards the front i had a m 214sei once 1.4 k series engine and the gtis looks like a bigger version of that
