If it's not the road you live on, why is it any of your business whether the people who live there destroy the grass outside their own houses?
Because if one person does it, others believe that it's OK for them to follow suit.Roads are for vehicles, pavements are for people. It's not overly complicated.

How about people having respect and decency? it makes a nice looking street look terrible, it also encourages the behaviour so everyone parks on the grass verges and pavements. It’s in my neighbourhood which causes issues when using footpaths. They don’t own the grass either, it’s council or highways owned which is a maintenance cost that my council has to spend on to repair etc.
