I heard that one plan involed a few high end Astons being made at the plant, the rest built by Jag at their plant(s)......Jag would take a share of Aston....

Jaguar Land Rover seem like the perfect fit. Really hope Ratan Tata is interested as AM requires quite a bit of investment.

If Toyota get their hands on AM, expect to see re-bodied Lexus' at your Aston Martin dealer.

quite like the Jag option, as Jag down size their engines, Aston could be the "V8/V12 option"...........not sure what Toyota would get out of it.

Access to the European luxury brand market.
They'll never get into that any other way.

The next Supra, Lexus super car and Aston Martin DB9 successor will all be based on the same platform.

Ratan Tata needs to make that bloody call!

Japan does NOT do the buying of Brands very well. I recall Toyota came close but never did buy Lotus while Chapman was still alive. Honda could have got Rover (Thus MG/Land Rover/Mini) with those brands the world would have been theirs..........Nissan didn't bother with a brand, they just went with GTR...
