Honda 2006 Type R
Discussion
beginning to think you might be a VW owner.
I do however actually have a Honda and I like it, the new civic is a move in the right direction for the company and actually makes all the other hatchbacks in the sector look like they were designed 20 years ago, not bad for a company with a very boring image.

Seems to me that a poor workman blames his tools, maybe you should get more training or actually see the new honda in the flesh, seems durable enough to me and actually owning one of the few 2006 Honda Civics that are on the road at the moment I've not got any scratches on the dash, just some dust and a Vanilla aire freshner.
The new civics sell on value has been set above BMW 1 series, VX golf, ford Focus, Astra and only £12cless than Audi A4, something tells me that quite a few fleet cars will be Honda.
The residual value has been set by the UK's 2 biggest Fleet car suppliers. Who am I to argue with them.

I dont mean to come across as condesending, if i am a little defensive its because I work for Honda, i'm proud of our car and I'm proud its made in Swindon, I'm also very proud that it is light years ahead of any other car in the segmant.
The Typr R premium does cost more as you would expect and most things on it are options, but it really does shift and with the new suspension we are trying out it really handles well.

The Type R is being reveiled at the geneva motor show in March.
However its not based on the Honda Coupe, it has the same siloette as the 5 door, just an extra spoiler on the tailgate. This helps keep costs down and allows the same jigs to be used with minor mods in the weld department and also allows quite a few parts to be standard across both ranges, again this helps to lower costs.

Well until you bother to drive it you will never know,
The 5 door is not underpowered its limited so that the insurance grouping is not to high. the diesel is limited to just over 8 seconds, in trials it did 0 - 62 in 6.4sec and actually holds 19 world records.
All i was trying to do was inform some people about the new type R and some of the features it will have, but as usual people want to just complain about everything and not actually take the information in.
This posting section is now at an end and I will stick to the NSX replacement at work instead.
Could of told you loads about that as well.
