New Octavia

Geneva Debut for new Skoda Saloon

Skoda Auto has released the first pictures of the Skoda Octavia. The new Octavia is the all-new successor to the popular Skoda model of the same name, nearly 1,000,000 of which have been sold since the Octavia’s introduction in 1996.

It was designed and engineered at Skoda’s technical centre at its headquarters in Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic.  The new Octavia will be available with a choice of six engines.

The first public appearance will be at the 2004 Geneva International Motor Show on 2nd March.

I think it's kinda' impressive they give you a choice of six engines, but why not just get a Volvo?

Because there's no competing volvo that isn't almost 10 years old and based on a mitsubishi carisma?

I think it is the best looking car to come off the new VW platform so far. Conservative styling, but solid and elegant. Forget about the badge!

If they do a vRS model and put a 2.0 FSI Turbo in it, or maybe the Audi 4.2 V8, I might be tempted
