Maybe I'm too sensitive. My car was absolutely frigging horrible to drive on Spiders. Harsh, fidgety, unsettled and it tramlined like an absolute pig.

Not that I'm biased of course, but Compomotive MO6's suit the Cerb rather well. They are also available in many widths and offsets. Very strong too so no worries about buckling them.

Hi Colin, yes indeed, mine is also Reflex Purple, so yours would look the same.
If you are selling the RL7's, may be interested in buying them from you. Drop me a pm if sothumbup
Excellent stuff, I thought yours looked reflex purple too. I will be selling the old ones but not until the new ones are on the car. I'll keep you in mind.

If you want to ruin the handling and ride and end up with a car that feels skittish driving normally on dry roads then go ahead. If you prefer cars that are all show and no go there are far easier and cheaper ones to live with than a Cerbera though.

Spiders are total cack and utterly ruin the car.
That's just total bull hehe

60k on mine and I've only replaced one smile

That was from a tunnel run in London.

Now if you really want chocolate wheels get a BMW then you would have something to complain about hehe

According to a couple of web sites they have gone bust! In September last year it would appear shame they do look ok.

Eh? On my third M3 and in the family we have two 1 series and a Z4.
Wheels are absolutely fine, never had a problem, despite the efforts of the councils to try and destroy our cars. smash

You must have been really lucky or maybe the problem isn't as bad as everyone says, one of my good mates has had four.

Some light reading for you smile

Those MO's look superb, would you mind sharing the widths and offsets?

Great choice.

I am currently in talks with Compomotive as we speak. Looking at shipping a set of wheels down for my Cerbera and also a seperate set for my Mk2 Escort. They are certainly still in buisness!

Currently the MO6 is not in stock for my PCD of 5x112, but they hope to have them back on the shelf by October. Possibly have the standard Cerb fitment in currently?

Cheers

Sure, the fronts are 8" wide and ET40 and the rears are 9" wide and ET40 also. If I were ordering again I would probably drop to ET35 on the fronts, as this pic shows there is plenty of room for them to space out a bit more

As you know, the spiders are 8.5" all round which isn't ideal, especially if you want to run a proper staggered tyre setup (mine is 225/40 front and 265/35 rear). You could push to a 10" rim on the back with a lower offset.

Car looks amazing. What a great wheel and colour combo! Ford Imperial blue or similar? I want it.

Could somebody tell me if this is the correct offset for a 2000MY Cerb -

2x front 8.5j x 18 h2 e42 and 2x rear 8.5j x 18 h2 e33

I assume these are spiders? You really need et42 all round. The et33 may work, but there is a large chance they will rub the rear arches.

It's not just the weakness. Even when not buckled a Cerbera on Spiders is inferior to drive than a Cerbera on SP12s, RL7s or Saturns. They're just too heavy, too much angular inertia and the rims are too wide for the front tyres. Even the lock stops make a car known for poor steering lock worse. They're all show, no go in every respect - not just how often they square themselves off.
