Now we're getting somewhere. This sounds much more useful. How does it affect the insurance?

...but Cam did say that he doesn't 'press the nitrous button' for a sudden burst of speed.......
he puts the button down when first starting the car and it remains on...so that when he wants it..it's a case of pedal to the floor and go...go....go....

That's because he appears to have what is considered the best set up possible. You switch on the Nitrous system when you start up the car or just before, so that NOS line(s) are full and it is ready to be injected straight away. The actual delivery to the engine is activated by a micro-switch under the accelerator pedal, floor the throttle and it will give the car a 15 second burst, giving you enough extra go to meet yourself leaving home.

It's purely a question of shopping around, just like you normally would. Some insurers regard it as no more than another form of power enhancer and like a turbo or supercharger, will increase the premium but won't invalidate the insurance. Just remember while it is perfectly legal to fit it to a road car it is illegal to use it on the road.

Did I see this car today under the A127/A130 junction or is there another Cerby with the same rear foil in Essex? Didn't look the same colour as the one in the photos but in any case it sounded bloody loud when he booted away from the lights. Have also seen a Griff with a similar appendage on the boot.
