rolleyes Muppets! biggrin

Gosh, someone bought it, what a surprise!

Check the seller's shop, here. He relists them once he's sold one.

Does look like we've pushed the price up though. frown

Now £18.00 + P&P

Glad it helped guys.... has anyone tried one of those bush pullers on the top diff bush yet? I tried a home made one of those and it was so tight that i rounded off the nut, then after another nut i stripped the threads on the bar (I used a threaded bar, a socket the same size as the bush outer sleave and a socket that was bigger and a great big fook off torque wrench)

Be interesting to see if this is strong enough

For the top rear bush try a Void bush tool....

Sykes Pickavant 66082000
Bar code 5 012737 608201
Another number on the box is W216953

or a 14lb sledge hammer & a long iron bar biggrin

You need to make yourself up one of these biggrin

ETA assuming your bushes are the same OD as the Griff/Chim.

Absolutely stunning thread. It gives me hope for the future of humanity.

Brett, if I may enquire, how many miles (approx) have you done to warrant the change of all these bushes ?

Topic lives on!!

I have tried getting hold of both the Sykes Pickavant 66082000 and Britool SVB1 without success. I would prefer a more cultured approach to burning and bashing unless I have to. Has anyone got one of these tools they want to sell, rent or lend or any suggestions of a modern equivalent??
Cheers

Mine went in the bin after the bolt snapped trying to get the bush out. It didn't work for me at all. Some people report success with it, some don't. I guess it depends how badly jammed your particular one is.

Another option I used (although I had the body off the idea should still work) is once you have the centre metal piece of the top bush removed and the rubber burnt / cut out, put a pointy end like a centre punch on the end of the long extension through the wheel and drive it between the bracket and the bush outer. This will, with a bit of gentle persuasion, fold the bush outer in on itself so it comes out easily - it requires a lot less effort than drifting it out with the big hammer!

I have a tool i made up if you want to borrow it,

I made it to screw into a heavy bar so that it can be hit out through the wheel arch, but can be used with just any bar with someone to line it up under the car, work for me

Well Del's Sykes pickavant arrived this am and the bush came straight out tonight! Del what a top man - posted his tool at his cost to a total stranger! I am to say the least very grateful!
