FWIW I meant 3k on top of the 6k I mentioned in the previous sentence. I was under the impression that 9k is not too far off a 4.7 rebuild if you don't go for the fancy crank and rods (or cams) hence the 'depending on condition of your engine' etc.

Hope he managed to filter out all the discussion of five figure 4.7 upgrades, as I don't think that was where he was leaning.
