Apparently it helps with track days - something to do with lifting a wheel on corners.
There was a letter in Evo a few mths ago from someone with a cerbera on Ohlins and with no Rear ARB claiming this was the ultimate set up.

That makes sense. If it's lifting the wheel then it's to stiff.

Our very own Dave Haslam B19TOY from this forum I guess - though I think he said this was more in relation to running slicks, and is related to a stiffer front arb too.
