The whole re-registering thing sounds dodgy to me. If you put the no. plate into the Gov.uk sites as TVR or Quatum or Quantum no details found. Put the registration into Euro Car parts and it comes up as N/A but 1988? I guess it may of been hidden away for 7 years for a reason?

There was a story on PH somewhere about someone re-applying for a reg doc in a different name to get a registration number and then changing the engine numbers etc to suit the car,Wonder if something similar has happened a long time ago? ETA Here.....

Thanks. Can't see it selling any time soon with a back story like it has!

It needs sorting out though, someone to get it back on a proper plate at least.

No, it's a shame as it seems (on the face of it) to be quite good. I'm concerned though that someone just buys it without doing any research, thinking they've got a bargain, hence my previous post.
The seller was bragging that he'd bought it for 8.5K and was going to make a quick n easy 5K on it for the price of an MoT...

Can't be done. That's its badge of shame.
