'Cerbera's take over Southend Cruise nite'
Discussion
So following on from another thread.
To show the caring side of Cerbera owners, help in the community and all, how about arranging a meet up in Southend. Meet on the seafront, and educate the local Max Power PHAT Nova drivers.
Just a thought, from Satman.
Anyone??
Looking at the 16th or the 23 April.

There are 'offical' cruises...authorised by the local BiB which are once a month I think...these are the most the attended, and from what I hear, are run very well (and without every maxed motor racing up and down recklessly)...I will see if I can find out when the next one is and post my findings....
OK...update. Just spoke to the BiB at Southend, and the offical cruise nite is the 2nd Saturday of each month. This is the only offical one, although there are smaller cruises every Saturday nite.
My understanding is that the seafront from the Pier to the Kursaal is 'blocked' off for cars/car clubs to park in groups. This 'blocking off' Im lead to believe is BiB controlled, and allows Joe-public to wander around looking at the cars.
If there are enough people interested, I could 'liase' with the appropriate people at Southend BiB, and see if we could get a space reserved for a Cerbie/TVR gathering.....please post your thoughts!
Provsional date...subject to all agreeing would be 2nd Saturday in May....

Im in Geneva, working on the 2nd Saturday of April, fly back early Sunday morning...then drive to the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff for the LDV Vans Trophy Final, to watch Southend beat Wrexham....
"Come on you Blues!"...so April is out for me. Plus...May will give me more time to do the 'liasing bit' with Plod and gauge numbers of attendees!

This is the info given to me by the BIB...I am in the process of mailing the peeps concerned to see if we can get an area reserved for a Cerbera/TVR display for the May cruise..when I have answers I will post them here...

Paddy....any speed humps along the sea front ?
... YP
A few flatish ones (the sort that pedestrians use)..
...but I reckon you'd be hard pushed to get over 10mph on a cruise nite at Southend anyway, cars tend to be bumper to bumper all nite! Besides, I think the stretch where the speed bumps are, is the bit the BiB 'block' off. Why?...are you thinking of joining us for a candy floss?
