I'm collecting all Cerbera rolling road figures to bang in this spreadsheet, regardless of rollers for now, I will mark which rollers the test was run on.

What I need:

1. Your PH name and nick
2. Car Reg, just first half is good enough
3. BHP Flywheel
4. Torque Flywheel
5. BHP Wheels
6. Torque Wheels
7. Rolling Road
8. Tuner

Answers on a postcard, reply to this thread preferably!

I'll get all the figures into this site and then pass it over to our Graham to include in the TCR site.

Lets get cracking ladies n gents!

:)

PS. All the data will go online, the independant roller figures will appear in the top 10 per class League sheet!

Ash...this might help...I posted this after collecting all the data from the Cerbera SRR day....

Cerbera Surrey Rolling Road day 12/3/05

The results given below are those supplied by Charlie immediately after each cars power run, for both BHP and Torque. These are flywheel figures, but a correction figure applied to these at 19.5% will give ‘at the wheel figures’. I have also ‘rounded’ figures…so if your car showed for example 337.5, this will show as 338, and likewise with a figure of 351.1, this will show as 351

4.5 CERBERA

1.Ceejay……… 392 bhp - 364 lbs torque (engine mods/Emerald)
2.Satman……… 377bhp - 369 lbs torque (Emerald)
3.Cyclone……… 375bhp - 365 lbs torque (Emerald)…. see note below
4.Angusfaldo……365bhp – 352 lbs torque (standard)
5.Katanarog…….365bhp – 345 lbs torque (Red Rose)
6.PaulH…………353bhp – 325 lbs torque
7.MarkJ…………352bhp – 326 lbs torque
8.Blue4.5………...348bhp – 344 lbs torque
9.Richard………..346bhp – 348 lbs torque
10.PetrolTed……...345bhp – 342 lbs torque
11.GCerbera………342bhp – 318 lbs torque
12.Cooperturbo……338bhp – 320 lbs torque
13.Bennett24……...337bhp – 332 lbs torque
14.John.s………….336bhp – 335 lbs torque
15.Neilus………….332bhp – 338 lbs torque

Cyclone’s first run, in standard form, made 339 bhp – 338 lbs torque, which when changing the ECU to an Emerald, with a map copied from Satman’s Emerald ECU, made 36bhp – 27 lbs torque gains.

4.2 CERBERA

1.Carbon Al. …….360bhp – 320 lbs torque (Emerald ECU)
2.Longbow……… 359bhp – 330 lbs torque
3.Slvrcrb………. 351bhp – 332 lbs torque
4.Jonnie5……….. .348bhp – 333 lbs torque
5.David.S………... 345 bhp – 327 lbs torque
6.Jellie…………… 336bhp – 340 lbs torque

INTERESTING STATS….
Average bhp/torque figures, based upon the cars at this RR session, and ignoring any modified cars (Emerald ECU & Red Rose), gave the following…
4.5’s produced 343 bhp and 333 lbs torque.
4.2’s produced 348 bhp and 332 lbs torque.
Average Modified 4.5 car’s (Emerald ECU), produce 381 bhp and 366 lbs torque

Foot note: I have listed figures above as given to me, by Charlie immediately after each run. I apologise if these figures vary greatly from those that you have. Let me know of any big differences and I will change for you…(the odd bhp here and there I wont!!!).

My car had an Emerald fitted with a copy of Satmans map, this was done at SRR to prove to me how much of a difference the Emerald makes. Later that week I had the Emerald mapped to my car and it pushed up the bhp to 390.

I think this is a daft idea, its become the most devisive thread in the history of the Cerb forum. I for one don't care what my Cerb produces at the moment. Its still the Best looking, and more importantly most reliable smooth Cerb I've ever driven.

I don't agree with this either in terms of the modded cars. I think it's a great idea for the stock ones though.

I would like to see a table showing the following info

Car model and standard spec e.g. 4.5, 4.2 RR etc
Upgrades carried out (all of them)
Tuner name
Baseline pre-modded bhp / torque figures
Claimed bhp / torque figures by tuner
Verified bhp / torque figures for car
Difference between claimed and verified (+/-)

Without this information the table will be meaningless.

You need the Table so SXS can show off about being at the top Not that anyone will believe him until it has been proven on about 15 different rolling roads, even if he takes it to the strip and does a 6 second pass there will still be people on this forum who will doubt it! Maybe Ted could rename it the Cynical forum

What?????

I'm not running a sales pitch league here! The point of this league is to put all the cerbies into some formal order. Now! If someone wants to know why a particular cerb is producing good results, he/she can contact the owner offline for details.

I'm running a leaderboard, just like Santa Pods would do in drag racing, when you get your slip back, it dont tell you that you've had titanium chassis bolts fitted which reduced the cars weight by so so etc....

Naaa, I will do this leaderboard and keep it real and simple.
Now if you or anyone else would like to use the leaderboard to source more info from the owners to do another board, thats up to you, but neither Graham or myself have the time to write up a bloody review behind each car.

The point is simply genuine good old competition.

But discussing the figures here on Pistonheads is the best way, but we need to keep the slagging down.

If a leaderboard is all you want then fine, it doesn't say anything about tuning though and that's what I thought you were interested in. Just sounds like a pi$$ing contest to me. In light of the current debate it adds absolutely nothing. You can include my figures from SRR if you want, I'm not bothered either way. This is precisely the sort of thing I was trying to avoid.

I do agree totally with you on the slagging though. I think the verification topic should be posted in a new thread cos it has hijacked another and the posts are becoming very diluted. I just like to stick to facts. If people have geniune comment to make and can bring something to the table great, but we have to keep away from personal issues.

Why would I be interested in tuning when my guys are already building a car for me?

I'm interested in tuners who can produce astounding results, I just want a leaderboard where we get an idea of which cars are doing what.

Ceejay, my problem is time, I dont have the time to collect all that data from tuners etc. I tell you what, I'll populate the leaderboard, and then if you or someone else wants to volunteer doing a page of info behind each of the cars in the Top 10 for each class, I can hyperlink the pages and have it all online, but I'm seriously busy as it is.

Thanks bud!

Ash, in light of recent events could you please remove my car from your table. I don't want to be associated with this or imply approval by my inclusion.

Many thanx

Stick me down for 389hp, 340ftlbs. When she's healthy again, I'll give you a further update for the list.

Noooo, a bit of a while before the main build takes place. The power margin (me demand) is always changing because I'm always adding more to the equation, theres no doubt about it, they WILL build it to my power expectations, its the beauty of running an 8:1 low compression engine and being able to throw bigger and more exotic power adders in Forced induction is Autocrafts forte, and they build what their customers want or their money back, just the way I like it

When she's put together and fully mapped, she will be run on a hub-dyno. You'll probably see me shouting about it and attaching video clips, the works when the time comes. But from what I understand, the PR team will be taking her to more exotic locations for officially staged power-runs Yup we have a small team forming now, in preparation for gathering sponsors and booking events etc. There is a greater purpose behind this project

Have you got any "in development" pictures? What turbochargers are you using btw?

Centrifugal F1R racing blower running at 28PSI initially through a custom chargecooler, and NOS intake cooling (which Craig will help out in) and dual stage meth injection.

I've strictly asked both Autocraft and Thompson GRP Specialists that no more photos be released until project completion.
