Chaps, whats the best thing you like about owning a Cerbera?
Discussion
I know, its a new year, and I guess most will be lavishly spending their heard-earned credit on their P&J's this year...
So just to help you realise how MUCH you need to keep the Cerbera a part of the family and avoid making rash decisions to get rid...
Whats the BEST thing(s) you like about owning your Cerbera????

Very apt - currently toying with RS4/RS6. But lets not go there!!!
So....
The absolutely georgeous looks...and the attention it gets!
If it doesnt turn heads that way then the sound track of the decat and sports pipes soon drag the necks round!
Oh and of course the fact that it feels special when you are driving it!!
The laughs I have with my mates about the little niggles...and then the change in thought they have once they are inside, appreciating the whole experience.

You know, for me it's quite simply the looks & the noise. When i need a fix after a bad day, a volley of pops & bangs reverberating off some tall buildings somewhere, puts a smile on my face like nothing else, what a machine
At some stage later this year, i shall have to start thinking about its replacement & i dread to think where i'm going to find what the cerb offers.....!

Hi Ash
I too have been thinking it may be time to move on, but I've not seen a car that even comes close in looks, feel or power. The best thing about owning a Cerbera is the fact it is a Cerbera. People who are in to cars are very impressed with your choice. The ones who don't know about cars take one look and agree with everything you tell them about the car.
I'm in that place where you start trying to make sense of the fact I don't need to sell the Cerb but I now need three cars. One for work, one for work that is more fun than the one I've got and a Cerb.
Thanks Ash you have just made up my mind I need another car but need to keep the Cerb.

You are so right, i'm just completely crap with cars, the old feet get itchy at about four years, i just know its going to happen!
What i need to do is treat it to some little tweeks to give me that little extra
We do need to talk then mate, are you set up yet with your RR yet?
JohnSW - I'm glad bud! Keep her, you know its the right thing to do, its paid for, and running, why let go of a good thing?
Just get another!
If only we could do that with women too, keep and just add more
Cirvy, remember the first time you sat behind your wheel? I have an idea, leave the car with joolz for 3 months, mostly for storage and a few tweaks and maybe even for his own development purposes
after 3 months, you'll be aching for her, and when you get back behind the wheel, it will be LOVE all over again!
I been without 15 months, and I'M DYING!
Just get another!

You can't put that number plate on any other car, so you'll have to keep it Simon.

definately the POPS and BANGS, especially through the tunnels.
and having the 4 seats so we can take it on family day outs with the kids, and not leave it in the garage getting lonely
(it is family after all!!!)
The rest goes without saying, power, looks, comfort, thrills.
Oh and of course watching my husband cleaning and polishing it, especially on a cold winters morning

I feel the need to be able to keep up with you mate, just the once...
How are you fixed for a spring-time trackday over at Donington Park, i can sort digs if you want 'em? I'm all revved up again, especially after watching the CREAM footage, some good stuff on there of you shifting, jeez

*That feeling of slight fear and awe as you first fire it up.
*3rd Gear.
**That* Engine (mapped properly)
*Following it and watching headlights bouncing highlights across every curve in the dark
Throttle steerability
*Every aspect of its performance - and I include handling (its alot better than anyone gives it credit when set up properly)
*People hearing it before its arrived
*Everyones reaction to it (excluding some jealous
) *Cage + side impact bars (wouldnt want a Griff)
*The fact that its *still* a giant killer in terms of outright pace
*Can park it most places where you couldnt park a Ferrari
*Its not a ferrari!! and as a result, driving it where TVR's arent common
(small villages in France just go mental over it, I want to take it to Italy) *The people you meet because of it (Joolz, The sprinting lot, every Cerbera owner I have met)
*Accelerating out of toll booths
*Tunnels
*B-Roads
*Strangers asking about it
*Turning up to sprints in an air conditioned, leather interiored 4 seater and beating far more focused machinary
*Putting on the air con as we leave the paddock at the end when most are putting thier cars on trailers
*4am to/from Le Mans stopping at a garage and just looking at it in lowish light
*Learning about the car whenever it has a slight niggling problem
*Successfully completing any work on the car
*Explaining to people that its my dads everyday car
*60,000miles + of fun basically (that engine really is beyond superb still!)
I could go on for hours... needless to say, when dad sells - im buying.
