Straight section of dual carridgeway, short changing up to third and accelerating when the back end stepped out and I failed to catch it. Hit a road sign broadside and that caused the car to roll.

Frightening what can happen at legal speeds when the wheels are no longer in touch with planet earth....

Not sure if it was just the greasy road or rear near side gas shock that failed. It is certainly knackered now!

Walked away with no more than cuts and bruises - car not so lucky but to be honest, who cares as long as we are both okay.

Photos to follow but I'm 99.9% sure it is write off.

Noo... really sorry to hear that. Glad you're ok, sad to lose another Cerbie.

Collapsing rear shocks isn't a rare occurence.

Photos now posted.

Thanks for your concern guys - the car had only done about 1.5k on a new set of Nitrons when this happened.

It was supposed to be off to the local specialist tomorrow to get some tweaks - so much for that!

My God - that's some impressive damage. Glad to hear you're OK - shaken and stirred, eh? Had the car done this kind of thing before? I have some faith in the Cerbera's roll cage - do you think it stood the test? Or am I just naive?

Hopefully the inside of wour door does not have the dents in the crossmember!

Car stood up remarkably well considering it hit a two posted road sign and landed on the roof before doing the full 360.

The car always seemed to kick out to the left if I was too agressive with it but this was something else entirely.

Roll cage probably saved my life. So yes I am impressed with it.

Gutted for you dude,
Sorry to see yet another of the worlds finest in a sorry state....but most importantly you were able to walk away.
Although this is little consolation to yourself it is a harsh reminder to the rest of us to take extreme care at all times.

Keep yer chin up mate, and get back into another ASAP.

Really sorry mate, but glad your ok.
I've been out in the griff today but came home early due to the roads. Its this type of weather roads can be dry then greasy for no apparent reason, almost makes it a lottery.

Gutted for you, what a bugger.

Maybe its time for a countdown to extinction clock for the Cerbs left out there.

As others have said, glad you walked away from it. Are they Falken's on the rear?
