One of the great icons of the British automotive industry, the fearsome TVR Cerbera is set to make a one-off come-back in an unprecedented online auction opening in a few weeks' time.
The Cerbera became an instant hit with both old and new TVR fans alike when it broke cover in 1996, and continued to be a phenomenal success for almost a decade. This 2+2 classic GT coupe ceased production last year with the introduction of the new breed of TVRs: the sensational Sagaris, the almighty Tuscan convertible and the completely reworked Tuscan targa.
But TVR's forward-thinking chairman also has a fondness for the company's distinguished heritage, and specially commissioned one final Cerbera to return to production in TVR's true tradition of producing 'specials'. Powered by TVR's own 4.5 litre AJPV8 engine, it has been meticulously hand-built to the chairman's own specification and is a personal homage to this and other bygone British sports cars.
This Cerbera, the last ever to be built, will be for sale by public auction on this website, some of the proceeds from which will be donated to a charity. A special, limited edition catalogue will be produced to commemorate the occasion.

looks like a they're just trying to flog a cerbie they built for NS... I mean come on, he's been flogging everything off since day one to recoup something.... lol...
As far as I know, there was always a lot of hoo-ha around yeah 'special' this and that, but in actual fact, just slight tweeks, nothing major...
if someone pays above and beyond the going rate of a standard production cerbie, then they're fools... but fair play to him/her....
What I want to know, is will the only ever typhon built that NS owns (if my memory is correct) be up for sale.... or does it have a weekly rebuild ritual? lol....

Newly authorised TVR main dealer, Ciceley Continental of Preston will be staging an impressive open event this weekend. There will be a comprehensive range of new and used TVRs for sale, as well as some spectacular, never-before-seen display cars.
On display will be a very early race-prepared Cerbera sitting alongside the latest, and last ever, example of the same, classic model. The last Cerbera is to be auctioned on TVR's website in the coming weeks, so this is the first, and perhaps the only opportunity to see the car in the flesh before it is auctioned, and even to express early interest in bidding. Completing Ciceley's stunning line-up for the weekend is TVR chairman's own road-legal Typhon, which is one of only a handful to have ever been built.
The event will run on Saturday 6 May from 9am until 4pm and on Sunday 7 May from 11am until 4pm. There will be refreshments available throughout both days. Test drives can be arranged by prior appointment. For further information, e-mail Ciceley Continental or telephone them on 01772 201455. It promises to be an exciting weekend with some excellent TVRs to try and for sale, as well as a special chance to get close to some rare, history-making TVRs.
