Where is the Oil Pressure Switch ?

The oil pressure warning light keeps flickering on and off my 4.5 Cerb.

I have checked the oil level and it is between min and max.

Whereabouts is the oil pressure switch and how difficult is it to replace ?

it in the V of the engine under the coil packs. you will have to take off the rear coil pack to be able to see it and then replace. hope this is of some help.

I have just replaced the oil pressure switch and the coils as they were split on my 4.5 The oil pressure switch is Intermotor pt no. 50600 Aprox £12.00 and the coils were £59.16 for the pair inc vat and del from eurocarparts.co.uk pt no. 413545061. This is were the oil pressure switch lives, underneath the rear coil (it's the round black thing with the thin wire attached). You will need to remove the air inlet hoses, the fuel rail and injectors, the ht leads (mark them and their positions first). The low tension connectors to the coils need unplugging a rubber hose that goes across the rear coil needs undoing, then the coils and their mntg plate plus the big fuse need to come off before you can get to it. this is a pic of the coils for comparison. and here they are fitted as you can see the oil pressure switch is completely hidden (it was a lot of work for is it really there?)

It`s a b/stard to get at if you have big hands like me.It took me 2 hrs to get it back in 1hr 59mins of myself trying then 1min of my g/friend.She is now my cerb "I just can`t reach that nut specialist"
