My Griffith has the Cerbera (AP Racing) brake system all round, but the brakes could have been better at my last track day. I don't know which pads are in (probably whatever TVR fitted as standard) but I've heard that I should put some red stuff in - any advice anyone? ta
Depends what you're after, if the car is for the road as well, but you want something good for the track, i'd personally recommend blue-stuff, they do need to be heated up, but once hot they're awesome. They do squeel a lot though, and tend to be harder on the discs. Red stuff is a good compromise, but the stock pads are just as good if bedded in right... you could also get your brake line pressure checked, a few minute job at any indie with the equipment.
My brakes are 100% better with braided hoses and the best DOT fluid...(dot 5.1??)....had fast road/track pads fitted by TCS and they are brill but can squeel!
Are there any pads that dont squeel
Cerbera rear brakes squeel with red stuff. They just have too much bite for the back end. I'm running red stuff on the front and standard pads on the rear.
